DreamWorks debuted a new trailer for Steven Spielberg’s Lincoln after last nights presidential debates.  The trailer begins with images and videos of our nations greatest stuggles and triumphs and then transforms into footage of the film.  Daniel Day Lewis plays the toubled president, and the trailer highlights the difficult decisions that were required of him.

The film also stars Joseph Gordon-Levitt, David Oyelowo, Sally Field, Tommy Lee Jones, James Spader, John Hawkes, Michael Stuhlbarg, David Strathairn, Walton Goggins, Tim Blake Nelson, Bruce McGill, Jackie Earle Haley, Lee Pace and Jared Harris.  Lincoln opens on November 16.

Official Synopsis;

Steven Spielberg directs two-time Academy Award® winner Daniel Day-Lewis in “Lincoln,” a revealing drama that focuses on the 16th President’s tumultuous final months in office. In a nation divided by war and the strong winds of change, Lincoln pursues a course of action designed to end the war, unite the country and abolish slavery. With the moral courage and fierce determination to succeed, his choices during this critical moment will change the fate of generations to come.

The more I see of this film, the more excited I get.  Daniel Day Lewis looks and sounds the part, and Spielberg has never let us down when it comes to a historical film.  What do you think?
