The international trailer for the Steven Spielberg directed Lincoln debuted today, and it’s a good one. It gives us a glimpse of the tone and themes involved in the film. Daniel Day Lewis stars as the troubled 16th president, and the film centers around his struggle with the decision to abolishing slavery and the aftermath. It certainly appears that everyone involved is bringing their A-game, and this ensemble cast is a packed with acting power.

Lincoln also stars Joseph Gordon-Levitt, David Oyelowo, Sally Field, Tommy Lee Jones, James Spader, John Hawkes, Michael Stuhlbarg, David Strathairn, Walton Goggins, Tim Blake Nelson, Bruce McGill, Jackie Earle Haley, Lee Pace and Jared Harris. Lincoln opens on November 16th.

Steven Spielberg directs two-time Academy Award® winner Daniel Day-Lewis in “Lincoln,” a revealing drama that focuses on the 16th President’s tumultuous final months in office. In a nation divided by war and the strong winds of change, Lincoln pursues a course of action designed to end the war, unite the country and abolish slavery. With the moral courage and fierce determination to succeed, his choices during this critical moment will change the fate of generations to come.

        Haha I was almost brought to tears watching this trailer. Daniel Day-Lewis is such an amazing actor. He totally looks like Lincoln.

      I was impressed by Tommy Lee Jones. He's always great. DDL is also always amazing. Put then with the most consistent director and we should all be in for a treat.
