Leaked Photos of the Millennium Falcon from STAR WARS: EPISODE VII

Yesterday, Star Wars: Episode VII set photos began to leak out, and we saw costumes, sets, and even a creature from the film’s Abu Dhabi set (presumably, Abu Dhabi is standing in for Tatooine in the upcoming sequel). But over in a soundstage, a new Millennium Falcon is being built, and now set photos of the construction have leaked online. The producers and executives are probably less-than-pleased today as we all sit back and marvel at one of the most famous spaceships in cinema history being rebuilt. Back in November, Yahoo! Movies reported that director J.J. Abrams was building a new, full-scale Millennium Falcon, so these images don’t come as a total shock, but they’re still nice to see. And while she’s currently not much to look at, she’s still got it where it counts.

The film stars Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Harrison Ford, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew, Kenny Baker, Lupita Nyong’o, John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, Gwendoline Christie, and Max von Sydow. Star Wars: Episode VII opens December 18, 2015.

    • Oh damn! That’s awesome! Looks like there are pics of an updated X-Wing fighter too! Or at least a derivative thereof in those construction pics.

I love seeing familiar, iconic Star Wars imagery coming back in this new trilogy. So far, I am one happy SW fanboy!
