Indiana Jones is headed back to the big screen. Disney just announced that the fifth installment of the Adventure series will be released on July 19, 2019. Steven Spielberg will return to direct the film, with Harrison Ford once again brandishing the hat and whip. Lucas film President Kathleen Kennedy and her husband Frank Marshall will also return to produce the film. Sounds like the whole gang is back on board.

“Indiana Jones is one of the greatest heroes in cinematic history, and we can’t wait to bring him back to the screen in 2019,” said Alan Horn, Chairman, The Walt Disney Studios. “It’s rare to have such a perfect combination of director, producers, actor and role, and we couldn’t be more excited to embark on this adventure with Harrison and Steven.”

Before Ford’s amazing return in The Force Awakens, I would have been skeptical about this project, but seeing that there is life left in the iconic actor gives me renewed hope for the franchise. We will have more to add shortly, but wanted to get this great news to you a soon as possible.

What do you think? Excited? Scared? Still Scarred from Crystal Skull? Let us know in the comments below.
