Thanks to XBox360 Achievements we got some awesome new images and a few cool special features for the new TMNT game, Out of the Shadows. Check out the images and details below!

It looks like the sewer will be the go to spot for the main menu, from hear players can train in the dojo, find side missions and challenge modes and even unlock old arcade games. We don’t know yet what exactly those arcade games will be but who doesn’t love arcade games? Secondly, we got a little info on new weapon upgrades for everyone’s turtles in a half shell. Leonardo will be able to access the boomerang, Raphael will get a pair of “iron fists”, and Michelangelo will be able to have retractable blades at the end of his nun-chucks for some awesome fighting.  It seems Donatello will also be able to get a secondary weapon but we don’t know what it will be as of now.

The game will also offer skill trees for each character and can be built up in anyway the player chooses: health, damage, toughness and speed. It kind of reminds me of Skyrim which is cool because I love having the option for contouring a character in a way that I like best. The game is broken up into seven different playable locations including New York city streets, sewers, and a pretty cool robot factory.

According to XBox360 Achievements the gameplay seems pretty straightforward with lots of action and turtle awesomeness.

Basic strikes and heavy strikes make stringing together combos straightforward and simple, while a face button handles counter moves like Michelangelo’s gassy belch. It looks streamlined enough, and team moves enable the Turtles to combine their abilities, like using Donatello’s staff to swing around, while kicking any thugs dumb enough to get in the way.

This will be the first TMNT game in nearly 4 years and it is looking pretty hopeful. Out of the Shadows is being developed by Red Fly Studio (Thor: God of Thunder and Ghostbusters The Videogame) and will be available for the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC on June 26. TMNT: Out of the Shadows will contain up to a 4 player co-op featuring each of the turtles as playable characters. I’ll be checking this one out for sure! What do you guys think? Let us know!
