Halo to Collide With Minecraft in Xbox 360 Edition

While previously teased in the past few weeks through screenshots, Microsoft has officially announced a Minecraft DLC pack to be released tomorrow that features brand new textures, skins,  sound, music,  menu, and UI all based on the Halo universe. 4J Studios, the company responsible for porting over Minecraft to the Xbox 360 and the Playstation 3, as well as upcoming ports for the next-generation consoles collaborated with Microsoft and 343 Industries for this unique theme pack.

4J have made unique mash-ups to download from other great games and franchise like Skyrim, Mass Effect, Avengers and Spider-Man in the past.

Even if building may not be your suit, the mash-up pack will additionally include pre-built maps that feature famous recreations of signature Halo battlefields. Play in a pixelated Blood Gulch, Valhalla, Blackout (Lockout), and other classic locales! You can also play as famous characters from the series: Master Chief, Noble Team, Cortana, Sgt. Johnson, and more!

With the upcoming Halo 5: Guardians recently revealed, this may whet your Halo appetite for the time being. Still if you’re a fan of both of these games, there’s no better mash-up than this! No word on if the One port coming this August will feature this mash-up as well, though it’d be a pretty safe bet. You can pick up the DLC starting tomorrow for $4.99 on the Xbox Live Marketplace!
