Hyrule Warriors Ganon

Nintendo announced today via Nintendo Direct that the evil Ganon will now be a playable character in Hyrule Warriors. Ganon is looking like a rock star with his gorgeous head of hair and giant swords. Oh and let’s not forget glowing purple and raining down destruction on his enemies. Check out the trailer below and some additional deets from today’s Nintendo Direct.

Take Aways From Nintendo Direct:

  • Adventure Mode: Face challenges on a look-a-like map from The Legend of Zelda. By completing challenges, players will unlock new regions, characters, and weapons.
  • Costumes: Club Nintendo members who register Hyrule Warriors within four weeks of launch receive alternate Ganon costumes for free. Yay we like free!
  • Playable Characters: Link, Princess Zelda, Ganon, Impa, Midna, Sheik, Agitha, Darunia, Princess Ruto, Zant, Fi, Ghirahim, and Lana.
  • Game Play: Level up characters to increase HP and attacks. Use materials to craft Badges to increase weapon attacks, combos or Focus Spirit time.
  • Co-Op Mode: Play a local co-op match using both the TV and Wii U GamePad controller. It’s worth noting off-TV gameplay is supported using the GamePad in the single player mode.
  • Locations: Locales from Skyward SwordOcarina of Time and Twilight Princess will be used.

Hack-n-slash countless hordes of baddies when Hyrule Warriors launches on September 26 exclusively for Wii U.
