The first look at director Matthew Vaughn’s new film is now available as Kingsman: The Secret Service trailer is now online along with the teaser poster. The story is based on the Mark Millar comic about a veteran secret agent (Colin Firth) who takes a teen delinquent (Taron Egerton) from the streets of London, and brings him into a British spy school that molds its students into suave 007-types. The plot is strikingly similar to Wanted, also written by Millar–an ordinary guy discovers his capacity for violence can be honed and embraced by a secret organization. I’m a big fan of Vaughn’s work, and the trailer looks fun.

Colin Firth, Taron Egerton, Michael Caine, Samuel L. Jackson, and Mark Strong star in the new Fox film due out October 24th.

Here’s the official synopsis for Kingsman: The Secret Service:

Based upon the acclaimed comic book and directed by Matthew Vaughn (Kick Ass, X-Men First Class), Kingsman: The Secret Service tells the story of a super-secret spy organization that recruits an unrefined but promising street kid into the agency’s ultra-competitive training program just as a global threat emerges from a twisted tech genius.
