Final HOBBIT film received title

Desolation of Smaug has officially been announced as the title for the second Hobbit film. There and Back Again, long thought to be the title for the second film is now the title of the final installment. Here is the current release schedule;

An Unexpected Journey – December 14, 2012
The Desolation of Smaug – December 13, 2013
There and Back Again – July 18, 2014

Only time will tell if a 301 page novel warrants three films, but everything we have seen so far looks amazing. It appears Peter Jackson is going to greatly expand on the Tolkien classic, while building a narrative bridge to The Lord of the Rings trilogy. Can’t wait to see if he can pull it off, but if anyone deserves the benefit of the doubt it’s Jackson.

What do you think? Do you like the title? Let us know below.

      The title for the second movie is terrible. Lol

    • The Hobbit: Mo Money, Mo Sequels.

    • I was a little thrown by the Smaug Title. Sounds more like a Star Wars title.
