Final Fantasy X HD

Today Square Enix has released a new comparison trailer for Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD at Gamescom. The trailer starts with a familiar scene when our beloved characters must engage in battle on the world map. We get to see attacks from the entire party in standard-def, and then the video is kicked into high gear, revealing the HD face-lift, along with new music. Obviously, the folks over Square Enix think it’s a good idea to make changes to the audio tracks, but I’m not entirely certain that will go over well with die hard fans.

Earlier in the summer Square released a side-by-side comparison video for Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD. Not only does the HD version look amazing, but it also removes the “Snookie tan” from Tidus and Yuna. Check out both trailers below and let us know what you think about the changes to the audio tracks. Stick to the classics or rock into the future?

Pre-order Final Fantasy X|X2 HD Remaster and receive a free upgrade to the Limited Edition, which features a 24 page art book illustrating concept art from the original FFX and FFX-2 games.
