Final Fantasy VIII

Square Enix has announced Final Fantasy VIII is available for digital download. Originally release in 1999 on Sony’s PlayStation console, Final Fantasy VIII is set in a world with flying fortresses, monsters, and magic, where you must remember the past in order to fight for your future. Join Squall, Rinoa, Quistis, Zell, Selphie, and Irvine as they battle Ultimecia, an evil sorceress hellbent on compressing time.

The game features a quick and easy leveling system that allows you to progress at your own pace. Your enemies will increase in difficulty as your characters level-up. Basically, you can move through the story at low levels without the difficulty getting too far out of hand.

Final Fantasy VIII comes packed with an emotional score by Nobuo Uematsu, that’s sure to send chills down your spine and tracks of tears on your face. What are you waiting for? Watch the trailer and get a quick refresher on how amazing this game truly is and then download this beast off Steam, our favorite digital service platform.

Countless fans would argue Final Fantasy VII is the best in the series. However, I would like to note that Final Fantasy VIII has always been my favorite and it somehow connected with me on an emotional level I can’t explain. Either way, this game shouldn’t go unplayed and I encourage you to give it a go.
