FINAL FANTASY ALL THE BRAVEST to Hit the Apple App Store Tomorrow Night

Posted on January 16, 2013 at 2:29 pm by Amanda Andonian

Square Enix released a new trailer for the upcoming iOS gameĀ Final Fantasy All the Bravest. It’ll hit the US App Store January 17th at 8pm PST/11pm EST, so you have an iPhone or iPad and you’ve been jonesing for some Final Fantasy, here’s your chance! Check out the video below:

The game does cost a bit more than your average iOS title, coming in at $3.99 for the app itself, with in-game purchases of additional characters and “World Tickets,” which are additional levels and worlds based on stages from Final Fantasy XII, X, and XIII. The Final Fantasy All the Bravest site describes the game as:

FINAL FANTASY ALL THE BRAVEST is a touch-action RPG in which you continuously battle enemies to advance through the game’s many stages. Defeating foes earns you the experience points you need to level up, which in turns (sic) grants you character slots to add more and more members to your party.

Since it’s a purely battle-based game (no grinding, yay!), it looks like Final Fantasy All the Bravest gets pretty insane once you gather a ton of party members. It still has all the classic FF classes, like monk, red mage, warrior, etc.; and it will of course incorporate global leaderboards and social features so that you can match your mettle against friends and other Final Fantasy fans all over the world. For those of you who love classic Final Fantasy, this blast from the past will most likely be well worth your time and money.

If you just have to see more now, you can also check out the game’s page in the New Zealand App Store since it’s already been released there because they’re in the future! If you buy the game tomorrow, let us know what you think!

    • Can't wait for this. My only gripe is that you can't choose the additional characters you have to buy. How many 99 cent rolls will I have to do before I get Sephiroth and Auron?

    • It almost looks like you don't even have any input on the game. I want another Final Fantasy Tactics!
