Excitebike Arena DLC

Nintendo released a new video today showcasing the Excitebike Arena coming to Mario Kart 8 by way of DLC. The Excitebike Arena will be featured in the DLC Pack 1 available sometime in November. Pack 1 also includes three characters (Link, Tanooki Mario, and Cat Peach) four karts, and eight courses. This fun and festive DLC can be yours for the low price of $7.99 USD. But wait, there’s more! DLC Pack 2 will be available in May 2015 for the same price or you can purchase a Pack Bundle for $11.99. Please note that if you purchase the two packs separately you will not receive a discount.

Aside from DLC Packs, let’s not forget about Amiibo figures due this holiday season. Eventually, Mario Kart 8 will support these adorable little guys, along with other upcoming titles like Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, and Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker.

Back in August, Nintendo announced Mario Kart 8 crossed the 1 million mark for units sold in the US. Despite the Wii U having launched nearly two years ago, the only other game in the console’s library to reach this milestone is New Super Mario Bros. U, yowza. Hopefully, games like Hyrule Warriors, Bayonetta 2, and Super Smash Bros. for Wii U will change this nonsense.
