Evolve Goes Gold – Watch the Cinematic Intro

Evolve Goes Gold

2K and Turtle Rock Studios announced today that Evolve has gone gold, which means game development has finished and is ready to be thrown on game discs. The 4 v 1 shooter has fans raging with excitement after 2K revealed three exciting announcements last month including a new monster, an offline single-player mode, and a new open beta for Xbox One.

The new monster called the Wrath, features some pretty cool abilities, but also has the least amount of armor and health. Basically, you’ll need to play smart and separate the heard as much as possible. Those of you that played the beta are well aware this tactic is pretty much required regardless of which monster you’re controlling.

The next open beta, which is exclusive to Xbox One owners with a Gold Live account, will begin at 6AM ET on Thursday, January 15 and run through January 19. Additionally, new hunter and monster characters unlocked during the beta will carry over to the retail version. The beta will also include access to Evacuation, the game’s campaign that throws a mix of maps and modes to spice things up.

Check out the opening cinematic and get ready to unleash the fury on your friends when Evolve launches for PS4, Xbox One, and PC on February 10, 2015.
