Edgar Wright Releases a Set Image to Commemorate the First Day of Pre-Production on ANT-MAN

Marvel Phase Two begins next month when the studio releases Thor: The Dark World, and they are getting ready to begin production on their first Phase Three film next year, the long-awaited Ant-Man.  Filmmaker Edgar Wright recently took a short month-long break after the release and promotion of this summer’s The World’s End, and the director has now returned to L.A. to begin pre-production on Ant-Man.  To mark the occasion, Wright recently tweeted an Ant-Man set image.

Given that filming hasn’t begun and the lead character hasn’t even been cast yet, it’s safe to assume that this picture is from the Ant-Man test reel that Wright shot a couple of years ago, but it’s still a fun tease of what’s to come. Ant-Man opens in theaters on July 31, 2015.
