Dying Light Season Pass

Techland announced today the Dying Light Season Pass will feature three content packs and the first will be available as early as February 2015. Like most Season Passes, this one includes additional maps, missions, outfits, and weapons to enhance your gameplay experience.

Season Pass Contains:

  • Cuisine & Cargo – Two missions where players investigate buildings that have been sealed off since first days of the outbreak.
  •  Ultimate Survivor Bundle – Players receive seven unique in-game items to spice up your zombie killing experience including three outfits, four different weapon blueprints.
  •  The Bozak Horde – A new map of Harran Stadium that’s playable in either single-player or co-op. You’ll fight countless hordes of the infected that not only grow stronger, but also increase in numbers. Eventually you’ll have to face-off against some psycho named Bozak.

Those of you that plan to pick up the zombie survival game at launch might find it a little frustrating to pay $60 for a full retail release, only to have additional content available for an extra $20 less than a month later. This trend has been around for quite some time and it doesn’t look like it’ll go away in the near future. However, game developer CD PROJEKT RED (The Witcher Series) has taken a stance against this practice and recently posted an open letter to their fans telling them so. Hopefully, more studios will follow suit and put an end to this madness. Which brings up another question–is the problem simply a matter of poor timing? Are you less likely to be upset if the initial paid DLC arrived three to six months after the game’s release? Sound off in the comments below!

Dying Light will be available for PS4, Xbox One, and PC on January 27, 2015.
