DRIVECLUB Versions Explained in a Two Minute Video

Posted on May 7, 2014 at 2:59 pm by Justin Cavender

Driveclub was first announced early last year during Sony’s big PS4 reveal conference. Later, during E3, it was announced the game would have a special version for PS Plus Subscribers. Of course this announcement immediately brought up the question of what difference, if any, will there be between the retail and PS Plus versions of Driveclub?

The PS Plus version comes with all game modes, as well as a selection of 10 cars, 11 tracks, and one location to race for free. That is to say, as long as you have an active Plus subscription. Subscribers can also choose to upgrade and purchase to a full retail version of the game, unlocking all of the cars, tracks, and locations, bringing your points, trophies, and club with you. Players that wish to have everything right from the start may purchase their copy from retailers or download a full version of the game from the PS Store.

The PS Plus version is a great way to take the game out for a test drive before you commit to your purchase. However, several retailers including Amazon and GameStop have pre-order bonuses which include additional vehicles for your driving pleasure.

Driveclub will be available for PS4 on October 7, 2014.
