DmC Devil May Cry: Definitive Edition

Today Capcom released the first in a weekly series of DmC Devil May Cry: Definitive Edition gameplay videos. For those of you that care, the super-mega HD remastered Definitive Edition runs at 1080p and 60fps, allowing you to chop demons down the way it was meant to be seen. DmC is the fifth title in the series and reboots the franchise in an alternate reality where players take on the role of a young Dante.

If you listen to the Pixelated Podcast here on Geek Legacy, then you will know we are no strangers to games getting remastered editions. For better or worse this trend doesn’t appear to be going away any time soon. Personally, I would prefer fans were given the opportunity to miss the game for several years before we saw a remastered or definitive edition get released. Speaking of which, DMC was released back in January 2013 on Xbox 360, PS3, and PC. Do we need another version so soon? No. The same could be said for Tomb Raider, Sleeping Dogs, The Last of Us, and GTA V. Although, this is where┬ámy hypocrisy shines, because I love GTA V so much and would rather play it on my PS4 or Xbox One than on my PS3. Excuse me while I go kick myself.

DmC Devil May Cry: Definitive Edition will be available for PS4 and Xbox One on March 10, 2015.
