Disney Casts Britt Robertson in TOMORROWLAND

Disney announced today that they’ve cast Britt Robertson in a lead role for their upcoming film Tomorrowland. Not familiar with the film? Here’s the official synopsis below, such that it is:

In the film, a high school girl with an unconventional understanding of technology is launched on a journey to reclaim her future.

The film, in theaters December 12, 2014, is being directed by Brad Bird, produced by Damon Lindelof and Brad Bird, and written by Damon Lindelof, Brad Bird and Jeff Jenson.

Robertson joins a cast that already includes George Clooney, Hugh Laurie, Raffey Cassidy and Thomas Robinson.

This description doesn’t make me at all interested in the movie, but George Clooney and Hugh Laurie’s involvement does give me second thoughts. If anyone can make a vague-sounding movie even remotely interesting, it’s them! No idea if Robertson is the “high school girl” referred to in the description, but if you’re a fan of her work on Under the Dome, then you’ll probably want to stay tuned for more updates on Tomorrowland.
