It was previously reported that like any good Bond movie, Spectre is circling the globe.  007′s latest venture will be sending him, among other places, to Rome, Italy, and he’ll need to break out his driving skills while he’s there.

According to Italian site Bad Taste [via CS], shooting in Rome will begin on March 8th, and a car chase will be shutting down the streets from 9pm to 6am, so the set piece will be taking place at night.  There will also be another chase (although perhaps it’s part of the same overall scene) on the Lungotevere that will finish with James Bond’s car (perhaps the Aston Martin DB10?) falling in the river and Bond getting rescued by helicopter.  The production will also be picking up chase footage in Barberini, Quattro Fontane Nazionale, Borgo Pio, the Milvian Bridge, and all the streets and alleys around Piazza Navona.

Additionally, the official 007 Twitter account tweeted out a photo of stars Daniel Craig and Monica Bellucci in Rome, so presumably she’ll be part of the action in the beautiful city.

Spectre opens November 6th, and also stars Christoph Waltz, Naomie Harris, Ben Whishaw, Lea Seydoux, Dave Bautista, Rory Kinnear, Andrew Scott, and Ralph Fiennes.

Here’s the official synopsis for Spectre:

A cryptic message from Bond’s past sends him on a trail to uncover a sinister organization. While M battles political forces to keep the secret service alive, Bond peels back the layers of deceit to reveal the terrible truth behind SPECTRE.
