DC Announces “Wonder Woman: Earth One”

After the commercial and critical success of Superman: Earth One and Batman: Earth One, it appears that the remaining part of DC’s Trinity will be getting the same treatment. At a press event in Burbank honoring the (massive and fantastic) contributions of Grant Morrison to the comic industry, the writer announced he’d be writing the story to go with Yanick Paquette’s pencils on the upcoming Wonder Woman: Earth One.

Morrison made it clear that in writing this book, he’d been doing massive research on the history of feminism itself. “Usually I don’t do masses of research, but for Wonder Woman, I’ve actually been working my way through the entire history of feminism … I want this to be really, really good, to reflect not only what women think, but what men think of women,” said Morrison. “I’m trying to do something really different from what’s been done with the character before. That one’s been amazing fun, because it’s nothing like anything I’ve ever done before.”

DC was also kind enough to release a promo of some of Paquette’s interiors to go along with the announcement, and it definitely looks like this will be just as great as the previous entries of DC’s Earth One brand. No release window was announced, but DC did promise more info would be coming soon.
