DayZ Player

DayZ, the open-world survival horror game from Bohemia Interactive is now available on Steam for PC. The player begins their journey in a post-apocalyptic world armed only with their wits and will to survive. Sadly, our world is left to rot after an unknown infection has taken out most of the human race. Don’t expect any tips, tools, or rations from other players in your quest for survival. It’s up to you to make ever moment count and treat each second as if it’s your last. There are no way-points, saved games, or mulligans. No sir, if and when your character dies, you must start all over. Maybe if you’re lucky, you’ll receive a quick and painless death. Just remember, it could always be worse…

Those of you eager to meet an untimely demise can purchase DayZ on Steam for $30. Please note the game is not finished and currently available in the “Early Access” stage. A special message from the developers appears on the game’s Steam page which reads:

DayZ Early Access is your chance to experience DayZ as it evolves throughout its development process. Be aware that our Early Access offer is a representation of our core pillars, and the framework we have created around them. It is a work in progress and therefore contains a variety of bugs. We strongly advise you not to buy and play the game at this stage unless you clearly understand what Early Access means and are interested in participating in the ongoing development cycle.”

The game is currently in an early Alpha build, which puts players in a unique position to give feedback to improve the gameplay. Part of the fun in Early Access is working out the kinks and fleshing out the deets. We hope to get our hands on this beast, as well as any loot found on your corpse. Remember, “stranger-danger” and you might live to see another day.
