Developer Reagent Games gave us a behind-the-scenes look at the upcoming sequel to the Crackdown series, Crackdown 3 at Gamescom. Demonstrating a brand new piece of technology originally showcased last year, the implementation of Cloudgine’s technology which takes the cloud computational aspects of the Xbox One in order to generate exponentially more processing power for physics and rendering of destructible environments.

The ultimate goal for this cloud technology is to infuse the multiplayer portions of the game with a new sense of unpredictability and strategy. As an Agent you’ll be able to change the city’s sandbox by knocking down any and all buildings, 100%. On the Campaign side, the incorporation of 4-player co-op along with an expanded arsenal, vehicles abilities, and enemies gives way to a natural evolution of Crackdown in a bigger and better way.

Agents on the Xbox One will be able to prepare for Crackdown 3 in Summer of 2016. Stretch those legs and get ready to run after those ability orbs all over again!
