Warner Bros. and DC Comic’s Justice League movie has had no shortage of rumors, we’ve heard from Man of Steel director Zack Snyder and producer Deborah Snyder, screenwriter David S. Goyer, and, of course, Christopher Nolan.  Now, we hear from Nolan’s Batman himself, Christian Bale, who brought us 2.5 amazing Bat-films, reflects both on his experience during the trilogy of Dark Knight films and just what level of involvement, if any, he has in the Justice League team-up.

Speaking with EW for his upcoming work in Scott Cooper’s Out of the Furnace, Bale had the following to say about his time as Batman:

“We were incredibly fortunate to get to make three [Batman films]. That’s enough. Let’s not get greedy. Chris [Nolan] always said he wanted to make it one film at a time. And we ended up sitting there looking at each other, saying ‘We’re about to make the third.’ We never really knew if we were going to get to be there, but if that was how it was going to be, this was where it should end as well.”

Bale also commented on any future reprisals, saying he hasn’t even been involved in official talks for the DC team-up of Justice League:

”I have no information, no knowledge about anything. I’ve literally not had a conversation with a living soul. I understand that they may be making a Justice League movie, that’s it. It’s a torch that should be handed from one actor to another. So I enjoy looking forward to what somebody else will come up with.”

Who should take up the Caped Crusader’s mantle?
