Bryan Singer officially set to direct X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST

We reported last week that Matthew Vaughn was possibly leaving as director of X-Men: Days of Future Past. Today it became official. No reason was given for his exit, but this marks the second time he has walked away from a successful comic franchise after just one film (Kick Ass).

Marvel has wasted no time replacing him though. Deadline is reporting that X-Film godfather Bryan Singer is set to helm the latest flick. Singer brought the X-Men to the big screen with the first 2 X-Men movies in 2000 and 2003, and executive produced and wrote X-Men: First Class. Vaughn will stay on as a producer, and his treatment is the basis for the script.

What do you think? I feel better with Singer in the director’s chair. X2 is my favorite comic movie of all time.

    • You guys know I can't wait for this bad boy. X-Men movies are always fun to watch. X2 is one of my favorite comic book movies of all time. Pretty sure it won 23 Academy Awards.
