Blizzard gets ZOMG Haxored!

If you are the proud (or maybe not so proud) owner of a BattleNet account, which is required to play Blizzard games, including World of Warcraft, Starcraft, and Diablo 3, then you should pay attention to this link.

Seems like our friends over in Blizzard have been hacked. Now, while they assure us that so far they have found no evidence that billing information or any credit card numbers were accessed, it does look like they were able to obtain a list of email addresses for battle.net users. Along with this, answers to personal security questions and information relating to authenticators was also obtained. At this time, Blizzard does not think that the information gathered could be enough to get into a user’s account, but it would be very prudent to change your passwords as well as the security questions you use to obtain your information. If you don’t have an authenticator, this would be an EXCELLENT time to get one. You can order a physical authenticator on Blizzard’s website or download an app for your smart phone for free! Please remember if you get any emails from “Blizzard” in the future, they never ask for your information, so if you see something that does, it’s probably the hackers. Oh, and don’t spam your general chat!

Here's hoping for something from Blizz. Maybe everyone gets a Jeeves that's sole job is to check your account for hackers. You send him away, and he will report his findings.
