BATMAN V SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE Rumor Lists Doomsday as One of the Film’s 5 Villains

My head is starting to swim with all of the villains (and heroes) rumored to be participating in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.  Heck, it’s hard enough keeping up with the rumors abut who wrote which version of a fake script that all of this info may or may not be coming from.  And now there are fresh rumors that Doomsday will be making an appearance in the film, perhaps as one of the five villains people claim are on tap for this franchise installment.

The film stars Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Gal Gadot, Jesse Eisenberg, Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne, Jason Momoa, Holly Hunter, Callan Mulvey, Tao Okamoto, Scoot McNairy, and Jeremy Irons.  Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice opens in theaters death-of-superman-doomsday-513x600on May 6, 2016.

Bleeding Cool is reporting that some of their most reliable sources have seen Doomsday designs for Batman v Superman.  You’ll remember that Doomsday “killed” Superman in The Death of Superman.  Keep in mind this is still in the rumor column, but maybe this is where we get some context for those leaked set photos showing mourners carrying flowers to the altar of Superman built in Metropolis?

In any case, this movie seems grossly overstuffed.  Man of Steel felt crowded at times, and that had a fraction of the characters we’re seeing here.  I don’t want to start shitting on director Zack Snyder already, if you listen to the podcast you know that I am not a fan, but it seems like Warner Bros. is throwing everyone in the DC Universe at this film to try and recreate the magic of The Avengers. The problem with this, as many have said before, is that there’s no context for any of them.  They haven’t had their own films to introduce them yet, so I’m concerned shoehorning all of them into this one picture will make the film muddy and convoluted.
