Batman: Arkham Origins

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment announced today Batman: Arkham Origins will feature a 2 vs. 3 vs. 3 online multiplayer mode called Invisible Predator Online. Two players will take on the role of the Dynamic Duo, while the two groups of three will play rival gangs lead by Joker and Bane.

Batman and Robin will have to choose their battles carefully using stealth tactics to take down their opponents. You will have a plethora of gadgets at your disposal to track, attack, and subdue the goons. Keep in mind these aren’t just any ordinary goons you’ll be facing. They are controlled by other players who will be expecting an attack from all directions. Not to mention the goons come equipped with enhanced vision. If they spot Batman or Robin first, then say goodbye to the element of surprise and your stealth attacks will not work.

It’s worth noting the press release excluded the Wii U version from featuring the multiplayer mode. At this time it is unknown whether the omission was simply a typo or if Wii U owners are out of luck.

WB Interactive has confirmed to IGN that Batman: Arkham Origins multiplayer will only be available for Xbox 360, PS3, and PC. “The team is focusing development efforts on platforms with the largest multiplayer audience,” says a WB Interactive spokesperson.

Batman: Arkham Origins will be available for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii U and PC on October 25, 2013.
