“Marvel: Avengers Alliance” is a Facebook games that allows you to take on the role of a rookie S.H.I.E.L.D. agent tasked with building up your own team of Avengers and taking on bad guys in turn based battles.

Over the past year and a half that the game has been out Marvel has regularly updated it to reflect story lines that have been happing in the pages of their comics through limited time ‘Spec Ops’ missions. Comic events like the Dark Avengers, Avengers vs. X-Men, and even the movie Iron Man 3 have gotten missions in the game.

So it wasn’t much of a surprise that yesterday the ongoing Infinity event was the latest Spec Ops mission to be added to the game. the new mission has you taking on Thanos and his Cull Obsidian while recruting new Inhuman teammates to your Avengers team. And that’s where the spoilers come in.

Ahhh Marvel, you guys just love spoiling things in advance. Background time, Currently in Infinity many of Earth’s most powerful heroes have left the planet to help in a massive intergalactic war that threats the whole universe. Thanos saw this as an opportunity to invade the planet not only to reclaim the Infinity Gems but also to find and kill his lost son who was hidden amongst the Inhumans.

So far in the comics Thanos’ son has yet to be revealed, but if you play Avengers Alliance and you manage to recruit all of the Inhuman characters you get this guy,

His name is Thane… I wonder who he could be (he said sarcastically).

So yeah, it’s not officially confirmed yet, but that guy is totally Thanos’ son. And it looks as though he is wearing his own Infinity Gauntlet on his right hand, so I’ll assume that that will be a thing that happens at some point in the event.

Spec Ops missions are only for a limited time, so if you’re a fan of the game then it’s time to get out there and start collecting your new teammates before they’re gone. And check out below for so more character art from the event.
