All-Star Cast for BBC Radio Adaptation of NEVERWHERE

If you’re a huge fan of Neil Gaiman and amazing British actors, then you’re going to loose your shit over this. Currently, the following incredible actors are recording the the BBC Radio 4/Radio 4 Extra production of Neverwhere:

James McAvoy (Wanted, X-Men: First Class) – Richard
Natalie Dormer (Game of Thrones)  – Door
David Harewood (Homeland) – Marquis
Sophie Okonedo (Doctor Who) – Hunter
Benedict Cumberbatch (Sherlock) – Islington
Anthony Head (Buffy the Vampire Slayer) – Croup
Bernard Cribbins (Doctor Who) – Old Bailey
Romola Garai (The Hour) –  Jessica
Christopher Lee (LOTR) – Earl of Earl’s Court
Abdul Salis (Love, Actually) – Sable, Sump, Clarence, Homeless Man
Lucy Cohu (Torchwood) – Lamia
Yasmin Paige (The Sarah Jane Adventures) – Anaesthesia, Tenant 2 – female, Match girl

Pretty awesome, right? That’s just a few of the amazing British actors slated to lend their voices to Neverwhere. It’ll air in the UK sometime at the beginning of next year, but it’ll also be available for you to listen to on the BBC’s iPlayer on their site. Neil Gaiman had this to say about the upcoming radio production:

The adaptation is by Dirk Maggs, who did the last three Hitchhiker’s Guide Radio adaptations. He’s co-directing it with producer Heather Larmour, who is the one who went off and made this happen after a small enthusiastic chat in a London coffee shop much earlier this year — the kind of conversation that you have that normally just leaves you feeling happy, but doesn’t actually turn into anything real. This time it did.
