After Killing Robin, Morrison Promises “Vengeance of Batman”

Grant Morrison may be coming to the end of his epic Batman run (and his run on superhero monthlies altogether), but he’s clearly going out with a bang.

In an interview with Comic Book Resources, Morrison makes it clear that Batman won’t take the death of his son lightly. “Well, the next three issues are basically ‘Vengeance of Batman,'” Morrison explained. “He’s been pushed too far. He underestimated Talia, and then Talia horribly underestimated him. That’s really what it’s all about.”

Not since Denny O’Neil has a single writer made such an impact on the Batman mythos as Morrison has, and though I’m sad it’s coming to a close, I know the finale will be just as compelling as the rest of his run has been. I know I’m not alone when I say the death of Damian Wayne has left me wanting vengeance as well, so I can’t wait to see just how far Batman will go to tear down Leviathan and pay back Talia for all she’s taken from him. Make sure you pick up the final issues of Batman Incorporated to see how it turns out!
