Sherlock had a huge night at the Emmy’s yesterday.  After going home winless for the first two seasons, season three (specifically the episode “His Last Vow”) did very well in the Best Miniseries or Movie category by earning Best Actor (Benedict Cumberbatch), Best Supporting Actor (Martin Freeman), Best Writing (Steven Moffat), and Best Directing (Nick Hurran).  Naturally, this raises the expectations for season four even higher.

Speaking to EW about his Emmy Award-winning season, Moffat said, “We have a plan to top it. And I do think our plan is devastating. We’ve practically reduced our cast to tears telling them the plan … we’re probably more excited that we’ve ever been about Sherlock.”  I suppose this is a better answer than “More mysteries and shit.”  As we previously reported, Sherlock will have a Christmas episode in 2015 followed by three new episodes.
