The Making of Child of Light

Earlier today, Ubisoft Montreal posted a behind-the-scenes look at the making of Child of Light, the studio’s upcoming 2d RPG inspired by fairy tales. The game runs on UbiArt Framework, which is the same engine that brought us Rayman Origins and Rayman Legends. The graphic style gives the player a sense of watching a painting come to life.

Child of Light features turn-based combat, over 600 crafting combinations, and 200 skills to unlock. Players take on the role of Aurora, a young girl taken from her home and her journey back will be a rough one. She must bring back the sun, the moon, and the stars which are being held captive by the Queen of Night. On the plus side, you’ll have a firefly companion to keep you company and help light the way.

Child of Light arrives for Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS3, PS4, Wii U, and PC on April 30 for $15.
